Leemo’s Basic WIN 10 system maintainence and Driver solving guide. (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK)

Hey hey people, I decided to write a quick guide to keep your system clean, fast and trouble free!! Using these programs can massively speed up a system and also get rid of many errors and conflicts, this is how I have done things for the last 5 year’s with 0 issues.

Make it a weekly or monthly thing and you can keep your system running as if it were a fresh install.

Once you install a device or program, it gets a registry entry, if you are constantly changing USB ports or multiple devices and updating, you will have multiple installs/entries of the same device. Upon boot, windows loads the registry and checks for the devices. A clogged registry can lead to conflicts and slow boot times, going through device manager to clean them 1 by 1 is a painfull process.

FIRST, we are going to remove all non present devices,

I use a combo of Device Cleanup and USB deview for this. Usually Device Cleanup gets it all, but some slip through the cracks which is where USB Deview comes in.

Download, extract and Right click Device Cleanup Utility and run as admin, it should auto scan for non present devices! simply click select all, then remove selected, then reboot.

Next do the same with USB Deview, with this one you MUST make sure you only select devices WITHOUT a coloured ball, PAY ATTENTION or you may break things!

After this I reboot again, not generally neccesarry, but its the safest option.

For the last part of this I use CCleaners Registry Scanner, its simple, fast and generally gets the job done! Just make sure you backup the registry when it asks; just in case!! Then delete all entries it finds. This is a good thing to get rid of old hardware and software changes, especially after updates and such.

NOW for the fun part for those with GPU driver issues.

If you do all the above and then use AMD cleanup utility (going between AMD cards or AMD drivers) or DDU (Nvidia to AMD) you should have 0 issues with your cards, this way you can determine if the card needs a BIOS update or an RMA, if its not your other hardware causing issues.

Points to remember.

PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU ARE DOING

RUN ALL THESE PROGRAMS AS ADMIN (right click the exe for the option)

ANY SCREW UPS ARE ENTIRELY YOUR ISSUE,

USE THESE PROGRAMS WITH SENSE AND CAUTION.
